Why You're Wrong and I'm Not Right?

  👋Hey Friends,

Let me tell you a short story from the epic "Mahabharatam",

It was a day like no other, when the mighty Guru Dronacharya summoned the two contrasting personalities, the virtuous Dharma and the notorious Duryodhana, to bestow upon them an arduous task. The task was to bring 10 individuals, either good or bad, for a noble purpose within a mere 10 days. As the days passed by like a bolt of lightning, both Dharma and Duryodhana were on a quest to fulfill the daunting task. However, what happened next was beyond anyone's imagination. Dharma, with his pure heart and righteous mind, scoured the entire land and was left flabbergasted. He couldn't find a single bad person in the entire country! Yes, you heard that right, not a single one! Everyone was good and humble, just like a saint in a temple. On the other hand, Duryodhana, with his sly and cunning nature, embarked on his quest to find 10 good people. But what he found was far from what he expected. Everywhere he went, he witnessed a society engulfed in chaos and corruption. Not a single good person in sight! It was like searching for a needle in a haystack, only worse.

Dharma – Righteous

Duryodhana – Arrogant

Dharma’s perspective showed him only the good people and Duryodhana’s perspective showed only the bad. So it’s all about the perspective of approaching something which is called Attitude.

A guy with a good perspective can be happy with a half-filled glass of water, he is satisfied with the half which is filled, and a guy with a wrong perspective can be bad at the situation who has a glass of water that is half empty.

The two glasses of water are the same if one considers only the physical properties of the container and the volume of the liquid that it holds. The ONLY difference is the perspective of the observer because that person has to choose between taking the pessimistic view (half-empty) or the optimistic view (half full). Odds are that the choice will probably continue in that person’s daily perspective of life itself.

A person with a positive attitude will look at the half-full glass – it is enough to quench my thirst. This means he is always happy in life for small things and not unnecessarily worrying. He is living a satisfying life.

Whereas a person with negative thoughts will look at the half-empty glass. I will not be able to quench my thirst with so little water. What if I need more water. He will be always worried.

This proves all depends on our attitude towards situations.

So it is all about the perspective. choose a good perspective even if it is a bad situation.
