👋Hey Friends,
Thinking about what to write for the next post and reminding you all that we have a blog where we write stuff we like, or at least stuff we pretend to like to maintain our blogger street cred. But hey, who needs a context-based post when we can just go on a wild, unfiltered rant and call it advice? 🙌 After all, I'm a wise old sage at the ripe age of 18, so please, no offense if my profound wisdom blows your mind.
01. This Blog
So, let's talk about this blog. I used to have a blog before, but it's vanished into the digital abyss, like all great blogs do eventually. I wrote about productivity, books, and tech—basically, things I dabble in while pretending to be productive. Then, Naveen and I, who shared my weird obsessions, and we decided to join forces and create this masterpiece you're reading now.
Our mindset back then? "We don't care about readers or monetization! We are on an experimental side-hustle mission!" 🚀 We had no insights, no plan, just pure, unadulterated blogging chaos. And you know what? It worked! Turns out, not caring about the outcome reduces stress levels. Who would've thought?
But hold your horses, there's more. Instead of just being experimental (because who wants that?), we decided to be "certainly experimental." 🤔 Yep, we set goals like, "We must publish X posts before the end of the year." It's amazing how adding a goal can make you take things seriously. We even put it on our calendar to make it super official.
Oh, and let's not forget, the shorter the deadline, the faster you work. So, break those big goals into baby chunks, and voilà, you're on the right track!
So, here's the deal: "I'm gonna write a post every week, don't care who reads it, I write, I share, they read if they like. And I must've published X posts before my girlfriend's birthday (who I don't have, by the way). I'm just padding this post with random stuff to make it longer, hehe 😜.
02. The Philosophy of Life
Now, let's dive deep into my 18-year-old wisdom pool. Imagine life is like a bookshelf, and it's crammed with books. 📚 The shelf space is limited, and it's already filled with the existential clutter of our existence. But if you want to add a new book (or experience) to the shelf, you gotta kick one of those old books out. It's a literary battle royale in there!
From my vast experience (please note the sarcasm, I'm just 18, remember?), I've observed that even those seemingly great people had to lose or sacrifice something along the way. It's like a cosmic rule—what goes and what comes aren't necessarily related, but it's all about maintaining equilibrium.
So, don't fret over what you've lost or are losing (you can worry for a few minutes, though). Trust me, you'll gain something even greater, or at least something different, than what you lost. 🌟 Unless you lose your life, but hey, let's not go there! 😳
03. The Grand Finale
Well, would you look at that? I've run out of advice. Shocking, I know! But don't despair, my friends; I'll be back with more pearls of wisdom in the next post. Until then, take care, stay weird, and keep reading our blog! 😉✌️
Things That Earned My Respect This Week:
Books: Currently, I'm engrossed in "The Fault in Our Stars" and "Talk Like Ted." Both are so good that I might actually finish them before I'm 20! John Green, the author of TFOS, is a genius. His humor is like a finely aged cheese—smelly but delightful. I might even steal his writing techniques and pretend I'm as cool as him. (Just kidding, I'm a creator, not a copycat. Okay, I'm done with the sarcasm now. 😂)
Articles: I stumbled upon Ali Abdaal's latest epiphany about books. He's my hero, and I'm pretty sure his epiphanies are what keep the universe in balance. 🌌
P.S. I've got some top-secret projects in the works. Stay tuned for updates—I might share them with you if I'm feeling generous!
